We explored some of Portland’s best rooftops and enjoyed all the city views for these couple photos!
This minimalist, trendy styled shoot at The Portland Studio made my creativity cup overflow!! There’s something so special about being able to do shoots like this, to put together something that invites artists and business babes to collaborate on something unique and fun!
First, I just need to say – to all your creatives out there, make time for things like this. Make time for the fun projects and for pushing the box to do something that sounds different and exciting! During off season, it’s easy to feel “land locked” if you’re not shooting a ton! So, whenever I start to feel that oh-so-common creative block, I always try to put something together that will feel life giving and allow all those artsy juices to flow! I find that shoots like this strengthen my creative ability for all my clients – they make my work SO much stronger and allow space to try new things!
This editorial photo shoot was not only a JOY to be a part of, but I wanted it to be an inspiration to both other creatives AND to all couples. I want anyone who is planning a wedding, elopement, or just couples photos to see that there are no limits to the vision you want! You never have to stick with what a wedding day “should” look like. Make it your own. Let the vibe of the day speak to who you are! And, if that means wearing a badass jumpsuit and pearl cape, THEN HECK YES YOU CAN DO THAT!
Ok, also… everyone who poured into making this shoot possible is INCREDIBLE!! If you’re planning your wedding or just fell in love with some aspect of this collaboration, then please scroll to the bottom and check out all the wonderful humans who were a part of this!
These two had a trendy, downtown Portland Oregon wedding at Union/Pine, complete with all the urban vibes, margarita cheers, and THE BEST taco bar! Makenzie was STUNNING in her sleek Alexandra Grecco dress and her badass lace up boots! Definitely the hippest couple I know! We laughed, cried, and danced the night away!
there's something so special about dreaming up a shoot and then watching it come to life. i could not be more thankful for all the wonderful, creative humans who came together to be a part of this creation! it was so fun, beautiful, and exciting to see everything piece together!
i always tell people to MAKE and CREATE when they're in a rut and feeling drained creatively. this industrial wedding shoot was just that - a catalyst for all my urban, moody dreams. it was something fun and different, and it pushed me to make photos in new ways. my heart is so full!
be sure to scroll alllllll the way to the bottom to see the amazing creatives who made this possible! plus, check out all the pics on the way down. ;)

this moody, romantic mcmenamins wedding was just a lovely little dream to be a part of! It was the perfect mix of industrial meets botanical. Maddie & Farai's journey together is a beautiful story, and ohhhh boy were there tons of joyful tears shed throughout the day!
we laughed through the 100 degree day, climbed fire escapes, drank the BEST beer (ohhhh mcmenamins), and shared in the fullness of their joy together!

From downtown strolls + coffee to exploring hidden parks! These two were some of the most kind and wonderful humans! Thankful for wandering around and good conversations!
gimme allllll those city vibes. i mean, come on, who wouldn't want to roam the city with these two cuties? portland never seems to disappoint when it comes to finding cool little nooks for photos! every block in The Pearl district is just a photographer's dream come true - those old brick walls, window reflections, coffee shops on every corner! you could say I love me some urban couple shoots!
Burgers, milkshakes, and a WHOLE lotta' love! i've always been in love with all things urban - the textures, the window light, old hardwood floors, harsh shadows. there's so much room for creativity. so, heck yes, an urban wedding is a road straight to my heart! not to mention, the most beautiful portland studio! if you're looking for a good industrial space for an intimate wedding in the pdx area, you have to check it out! this day was just a whole lotta goofy, cuddling love!

New friends & urban tones make a pretty darn good day!
I love when my clients want to do something unique for their shoot, and when it involves coffee... then HECK YES!
