THE PERFECT MOODY AUTUMN
WEDDING IN PORTLAND

Moody, warm vibes are some of my favorites! Addie & Jack made a dreary Oregon fall day into the coziest city dream wedding! From the beginning Addie told me that “both of our favorite colors are black so the overall feel for our big day will be dark, moody and romantic. LOTS of candles, some greenery on the tables and some warm twinkly lights throughout our venue with possible touches of gold throughout!” They made that vision come to life so perfectly!

The first look was one for the books! We drove over to their apartment building, where Jack waited on the rooftop to see his bride for the first time. The rooftop was their special place, full of past memories and moments to come! The Portland skies held back the downpours and gave us the most BEAUTIFUL views of the city, all saturated with fall colors. Their special, intimate first look was full of laughter, tears, and spins. After enjoying the Portland downtown views, we headed off to wander the city blocks!

Jack loves architecture and wanted the different structures and patters of the city to be a part of their wedding day! So, we explored all the old buildings and streets, they splashed through puddles and kissed in the pouring rain (basically a movie seen, let’s be real)! The little city adventure and moody fall colors felt so true to these two creative humans!

Right before the ceremony, we found a secluded corner of the building and each of them read a letter from the other. The feels were REAL. I loved the small time they took to do that before the ceremony – an intimate moment to catch their breaths and align their hearts. It was so special to capture that.

The ceremony and reception were both filled with SO. MUCH. JOY. These two have the most wonderful people surrounding them, and the celebration was a frickin’ party!
